One of my best fits, at low cost par tanks.
Madrugar Hull
Low Slots 120mm polycrystalline plate (lower pg cost, higher speed) 2 Meta Three Passive Damage Resistance Plates 1 Meta Three Active Damage Resistance Module 1 Meta Two Repair Tool
High Slots Fusion Accelerator (for high maneuverability against enemy AV) -OR- Active Heat Sink (for Tank V. Tank fights) Meta Three Scanner (for saving your ass against enemy infantry)
Large Turret Advanced Scattered Blaster Turret
Small Turrets (Top) Advanced Missile Turret (not Fragmented) for extra help in tank v. tank fights. (Bottom) Advanced Scattered Blaster Turret - Extra Stability for more accurate anti infantry fire.
This fit is VERY FAST, has HUGE RESISTANCES, and can pack a punch versus infantry AND tanks. Go for the flank, don't run solo (i.e. not in a squad) and it works well if you have a friend that runs AV who can operate your turrets. Nothing like having 1 or two Anti-Vehicle operators jump out of your tank to lay the pain on an enemy vehicle or shoot down a pesky dropship.
Enjoy! |

Madrugar fits using 180mm are gimping themselves.
How???
Loss of Speed. Takes too much PG, often requiring a PG module upgrade unless you are running Heavy Missile Turret. Less resistance due to aformentioned slot taking a PG upgrade.
All of these things taken in account, I get more survivability out of a tank with 3 resistance modules than a 180 with 2 or fewer resistance modules. That and SPEEEEEEEEEEEEED. Nothing like being able to boogy like kid on a sugar high. |

Meta 3 accelerator is EVEN FASTER. So fast, your tank will actually jerk from the speed boost. Mix that with the light plate and you VROOM, and have more resistance than a 180mm plate. |

The Meta 2 is fine.
Of course meta 3 is better, but you HAVE to fit a PG upgrade or gimp your plate to use it.
I've been around for a long time, and I can roll with those using Meta 3 repairs.
Best way to take one on is with teamwork and surprise. My response to your flank?
Accelerator, hardener and reposition myself, maybe switching to a rail to harass you until you die/recall and change yourself.
Also, I've used that build for PC and I can hold a point and push/harass enemy tanks with it like a boss.

I used to tank for Pure Innocence before the leadership left, and I WAS THE TANK BROUGHT, not yourself. I was effective and that was one of the builds I used for PC, with some of the turrets upped to Proto to reflect the higher payouts of PC. Just saying. |
